Amanda Healy is the Chief Executive Officer of Perth-based maintenance and construction company, Warrikal. Originally from the NSW Hunter Valley, Amanda is a proud Wonnarua woman and part of the Koori Nation, and has integrated her cultural heritage with a forward-thinking business approach to build Warrikal. Her stake in Warrikal ensures the company is a majority owned and operated Indigenous company.
With in excess of 30 years’ experience in mining in Australia and Canada, Amanda has a diversified background of work experience including human resources, training, safety, quality, industrial relations and onsite mobilisation and logistics.
Prior to Warrikal, Amanda’s spent over a decade working for BHP at various sites including two years on the Ekati Diamond Mine in Canada. In 2003, Amanda went on her own and created Maxx Engineering, which she registered as an Indigenous owned business in 2010 and later sold to German-owned engineering giant, ThyssenKrupp in 2015.
Warrikal is the third business Amanda has established and under her leadership Warrikal has thrived, gaining recognition for its ability to deliver exceptional client outcomes and has actively supported Aboriginal engagement in the mining sector. Warrikal’s commitment to community development and sustainable business practices has earned it significant contracts.
Amanda is renown as a trailblazer in the industry and in 2022 she was inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame in recognition of her contribution to business in the State.
Managing Director
Roy Messer is the Managing Director of Perth-based maintenance and construction company, Warrikal. Roy brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and management experience in the resource sector with solid strategic and tactical experience both locally and internationally.
As Managing Director at Warrikal, Roy leads with a values-driven approach, emphasising safety, quality, and continuous improvement. He has a drive to establish and develop key alliances and relationships with both our internal personnel and clients to deliver strong results.
Previously, Roy held the position of General Manager – Projects at Linkforce Engineering for nearly a decade.
Roy’s leadership at Warrikal is instrumental to guiding company growth and ensuring it maintains a trajectory of expansion while delivering exceptional service to clients across the mining, resources and allied industries.
Executive Director
David Flett is the Executive Director of Perth-based maintenance and construction company, Warrikal. He brings nearly two decades of extensive experience in the mining and resources sector.
Beginning his career in 2006, David worked with tier-one mining companies across Australia, specialising in shutdowns and construction projects. This formative experience laid the groundwork for his deep understanding of the industry's operational and strategic requirements.
In 2012, David became the founding director of Allspec Engineering, a successful heavy steel fabrication company dedicated to serving the mining and resources sector.
Following on from Allspec, David’s journey with Warrikal began in 2016 when he partnered with co-founders Roy Messer and Amanda Healy. Leveraging David’s steel fabrication experience, they established Warrikal with a clear vision of enhancing the industry's service capabilities.
As a founding director, David initially played a hands-on role in every aspect of the business, with a particular emphasis on ensuring financial stability to support Warrikal’s rapid growth. Today, as Executive Director, he focuses on strategic direction, business growth, and identifying new opportunities. David’s leadership continues to drive Warrikal’s evolution, cementing its reputation as a trusted partner in the mining and resources industry.
Chief Executive Officer
David Williamson is the CEO of Perth-based maintenance and construction company, Warrikal, one of Australia’s largest Indigenous businesses operating in the mining services sector. Originally from Melbourne, David holds a Master of Marketing and 20 years of executive leadership experience across the resources and industrial services sectors. Leading a passionate team of over 1,500 people, David is steering Warrikal through its next phase of growth.
Prior to Warrikal, David was the Chief Operating Officer of SRG Global where he led its transformation from specialist sub-contractor to an industry leader in maintenance services throughout Australia and New Zealand, securing many annuity contracts with blue-chip clients. While at SRG Global, David also held the roles of company Chair of Zero Harm and company Chair of Reconciliation setting the strategic direction and framework for both.
It was also during this time David established an Indigenous joint venture, Bugarrba, with members of traditional owner group Njamal, based in the Pilbara, one of his proudest achievements.
Before SRG Global, David served in a variety of executive positions within listed companies Cleanaway and Brambles operating across sectors including logistics, materials handling, waste and recycling, equipment hire, and mining services.
David combines his passion for business and community engagement by establishing long-term relationships with blue-chip clients creating both business and social value. David maintains an uncompromising approach to safety, a meticulous approach to operational and financial discipline, and a client centric mantra.
